The foundation of the information contained in this site is from "An Abridged History and Genealogy of the Ancestors and Descendants of James and Mary (nee Goodge) Bryan". This document was distributed to about 100 family members in the late 1930's by Francis Paul Bryan (1899-1993), and "Uncle Will" for one dollar per hand typed copy. The manuscript has been reproduced exactly as it was written. The style of writing may seem difficult to understand in places, but I decided to leave it in the interest of letting "Uncle Will's" personality live on. Any notes, additions, and updates I have added to the text will be appear in italics. The "-Ed." symbol refers to the author, William Holmes Bryan --Karen Wunderlich Stezowski
